The November Edit

November is here, and I'm officially another year older!
I celebrated my 32nd birthday this past Sunday (still not sure how that happened so quickly!), and I'm welcoming another year around the sun. Birthdays are always a good excuse to get together with the people you love, eat a little too much (ice cream) cake, and celebrate! And November is a big birthday month in our family, including my golden retriever Jettie, so we have plenty of celebrating to do before Thanksgiving even rolls around.
And just like that, the holiday season is upon us! Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, which means family gatherings, delicious food, and the start of all the holiday festivities. I've always loved this time of year, especially the traditions that bring everyone together and the memories made around the table.
Of course, as an interior designer, I can't help but think about the spaces where all these moments happen. Whether it's a beautifully set dining table, a cozy living room filled with family, or a few thoughtful details that make guests feel welcome, I love how our homes become such an important part of the celebrations. And while a perfectly styled tablescape is always fun, I truly believe the best gatherings are the ones where everyone feels comfortable, relaxed, and right at home.
With that in mind, this month's edit is all about entertaining essentials, a few things I'm currently loving, and a little peek into life lately as we head into the final stretch of the year.
The November Edit // Shop My Current Favorites
A little bit of everything I'm loving this month, from beautiful finds for the home to things I've had my eye on lately.
Life Lately, The things currently filling my camera roll, playlists, closet, and time outside the studio...
On repeat... Noah Kahan. Something about his music just feels right this time of year, perfect for working in the studio or driving around town.
In my closet... A new pair of cognac knee-high boots. Now I'm just waiting for Miami to give us a reason to wear them,
A little birthday treat... New frames from Warby Parker! A little birthday gift to myself, and something I'll actually wear every day.
What I'm baking... My go-to pumpkin bread. It's one of my favorite things to make this time of year, and I figured it was only right to share the recipe with you. Perfect with a morning coffee or as a little something sweet after Thanksgiving dinner.
Around the studio... Lots happening behind the scenes lately! We just signed on a new Airbnb renovation project in Fort Lauderdale and are getting ready for our project kickoff. We're wrapping up our Winston Park exterior patio project, finalizing backyard construction and working on the landscape design for our Not So Tired Retirement project, and making exciting progress at Casa Plover. Lots of moving pieces, and I can't wait to see it all come together!
From my Kitchen // Pumpkin Bread Recipe
Servings: 2 loaves | Cook Time: 65 minutes
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1½ sticks (¾ cup) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin purée
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease two loaf pans.
Combine the dry ingredients. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
Cream the butter and sugar. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar on medium speed.
Add the eggs. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Mix in the pumpkin. Beat in the pumpkin purée until combined.
Add the dry ingredients. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until just combined.
Divide and bake. Pour the batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans. Bake for 65–75 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool. Let the loaves cool in their pans for 10 minutes.
xx,
